Telemedicine is a great resource that we are able to provide for a wide range of illnesses. This is a useful tool for routine sick visits such as common colds or cough, pink eye, allergies or other general questions that require a physician consult. If a parent has any questions or concerns regarding their child’s illness we encourage you to reach out to one of our physicians on call so we can direct you to which option is best.

Can I use telemedicine for a well visit?

At this time, Holmdel Pediatrics is providing routine medical care in our office for our newborns, babies and children for well visits to maintain the recommended schedule for vaccines according to CDC guidelines. For your child’s well appointment, we ask that you call when you arrive into our parking lot and we will bring you into the office when your exam room is ready.

As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call the office to speak with the doctor.

What happens if a physical exam is required for diagnosis (strep test, flu test, etc.)?

In certain circumstances, we are able to provide testing for patients outside our office for protection of our staff and physicians if necessary. This will be discussed on a patient-by-patient basis.
